VIDWAN PALGHAT RAGHU RECEIVES NADABRAHMAM

The 'Iyal Isai Nataka Vizha’ of Narada Gana Sabha was celebrated on the 16th Dec 2000. Inaugurated by Srimad Srimushnam Andavan Sri Ranga Ramanuja Mahadesikan, the function commenced with a prayer by V K Arun, who is a winner of several competitions conducted by the Sabha. The Sabha's title 'Nadabrahmam' for this year was conferred on the mridangam giant Sri Palghat R Raghu. The 'Senior Musician's Award' was presented to vidwan K H Mahadeva Bhagavatar of Kallidaikuruchi. The artistes were felicitated by Sangita Kalanidi Sri K V Narayanaswamy and Sri Karaikudi Mani.
